I’m Ric Rodriguez and I’m pursuing a Masters certification in Photography at Montgomery College in Maryland. My love for photography began in the 1970s during my early college years, where I was introduced to black and white photography. I shot with a single lens reflex (SLR), Nikon F Photomic, 35mm camera and bulk loaded my own film. After a successful forty year career in Engineering and Information Technology, I’m happily returning to my love of photography.
Photography has undergone many changes. The most significant of which is the shift from film-based photography to digital photography. The advent of digital cameras, image sensors, software, and computers, has revolutionized the way photographs are captured, developed, and shared. These improvements provide higher resolution, greater dynamic range, and better low-light performance. The evolution of photography, combined with evolving technology, are one of the many reasons I continue to enjoy this art form.
